The Norwegian start-up Maritime Optima is preparing to launch a better digital interaction tool for the shipping industry. Despite troubled markets and Covid19, the company is gearing up for growth.

An era is over and replaced by another one. Thanks a lot to Thorleif Thorleifsson for founding the company together with Simen and Kristin. Maritime Optima continue her voyage with a new Board of Directors but you will always be a part for the soul of this company.

We have had a fantastic start to the new year with a tremendous growth in ShipIntel and ShipAtlas revenues and many new talented people coming our way. We are getting great feedback from existing customers and have officially launched the live vessel list/position list feature.

After a well deserved rest we’re back and ready for the year ahead. In this final newsletter of 2024, we’re excited to recap our biggest achievements, reflect on lessons learned, and share how we're preparing for an even more impactful year ahead.

We are heading towards Christmas and November has been a very busy month; we are ready to scale and grow globally and be present where the shipping industry is located.

October is a dark month in Norway, but for Maritime Optima it has been a month with global expansions and hiring of new colleagues.

What a month! This month has been extraordinary since existing customers have both added seats and renewed their subscriptions, and new customers are signing up. That shows that we have developed products that are wanted.

The trees are already turning yellow here in Oslo, but we do really look forward to the autumn.

We could start this newsletter off saying we’re finally back from a well-deserved summer break, and that July was uneventful. But that wouldn’t be true. Over the summer, we made significant strides in further distinguishing our two products, ShipAtlas and ShipIntel.

While some colleagues are on their well-deserved holidays, others are diligently working to ensure our momentum is maintained throughout the summer. We are also excited to announce we have begun expanding our operation beyond the borders of Norway. Stay tuned for more updates in our upcoming monthly newsletters.

At the end of April we revealed ShipIntel's new business model; You can now tie your ShipIntel subscription to your Microsoft 365 subscription and make ShipIntel a part of your company's IT data and security policy.

Welcome to the fourth edition of our monthly newsletter, where we recap an (extremely) eventful April! 🌻 This past month has been pivotal for us, marked by exciting launches, and once again a new monthly sales record has been set.

March offered several milestones, one of them being a new sales revenue record, beating our last record with 13%. Also, we released some big news; you can now find ShipIntel Essentials on Microsoft Teams!

Revenues and number of users in ShipIntel and ShipAtlas are growing quickly, and we had the pleasure of signing a contract with Sibelco, a large mining company focused on silica, clays, feldspathics and olivine. We've done improvements in the sea route and design and are working on the larger features we are planning to launch end of March.
