July: The ShipAtlas edition

Hi everyone, we hope you’ve had an amazing summer this far!

We could start this newsletter off saying we’re finally back from a well-deserved summer break, and that July was uneventful. But that wouldn’t be true. Over the summer, we made significant strides in further distinguishing our two products, ShipAtlas and ShipIntel.

ShipAtlas is and has always been primarily oriented towards individual ship trackers, with features tailored to their needs.

ShipIntel is and has always been designed for companies involved in maritime business, with two subscriptions:

Essentials: Features based on AIS and AI for any type of company involved in maritime business. Can also be integrated with Microsoft Teams.

Pre-Fix: A maritime AI based decision support system for shipbrokers, ship and cargo operators, with integrated email management, parsing and tracking.

Based on user feedback, we aligned the features between the two products to offer a suite of subscriptions meeting the different needs and wishes.

Let’s get an overview ⬇

Team and office news ⚓️

☀️Enjoying the last stretch of summer

We hiked up to Kolsåstoppen ⛰️ Few things beats a great view with an even greater team! The stony climb was followed by a BBQ at Kristin's place, where we enjoyed great food, learned about the famous rhomb-porphyry (a rare volcanic rock found in the area) and shared stories and laughter throughout the evening 🍔🪨

🇬🇷 Expanding our presence

In the middle of July, we traveled to Athens to meet with our soon-to-be Greek colleague and to visit our new offices. He is an experienced shipping executive, and we can't wait to introduce him as part of our team in the near future.

We are also expanding our team, and we are recruiting;

Sales & marketing: Are you a sales person, marketeer or a customer support person who want to roll out ShipIntel helping people involved in maritime business making better decisions, you are more than welcome to contact us.

Developers: Are you a skilled and experienced backend or frontend developer, or an experienced data scientist working with an exciting tech stack, innovative new technologies and participating in solving complex problems for the maritime industry, we want to hear from you!

At Maritime Optima you will find highly competent and passionate colleagues thriving together.
