About Us

We established Maritime Optima AS in April 2018. Today, we are privately funded by serial tech entrepreneurs and shipping executives. We were awarded the Copernicus price in 2018 and the Microsoft Startup program in 2019-2021. In 2023, we became a part of the Microsoft ISV Success Program. We are working closely with the users while developing the products offered by Maritime Optima.

Today, we develop and distribute two SaaS products:

  • ShipIntel is a flexible and affordable team software for any company involved in maritime business.
  • ShipAtlas: An app for individuals and consumers interested in following ships

ShipAtlas was launched in August 2020 as an MVP product on the web. In February 2022, we launched mobile applications and different types of subscriptions. Today, ShipAtlas has more than 300,000 users.

ShipIntel was launched in October 2022 as MVP. In October 2023, we officially launched the modular ShipIntel, and also ShipIntel is growing very quickly.

  • Both products are based on AIS (Big Data)
  • Both products are born global.
  • Both products are Freemium business concepts.
  • Both products are growing rapidly.
  • Both products are developed based on user feedback.

To build this software, we need a great team ourselves! Our team has solid domain knowledge and skilled developers, and we are looking for an experienced front-end developer to strengthen our tech team.
