Senior Sales Representative and Account Manager

We are seeking sales persons with 3-5 years of experience from SaaS product sales for the maritime industry (office software).

About us

Maritime Optima AS, established in April 2018, currently employs 17 people across our offices in Oslo, Singapore, and Athens. Our company is solidly funded by the founders, shipping investors, and other external investors. As we continue to grow and expand globally, we are looking to strengthen our sales team in Oslo and Singapore.

We develop and distribute two global SaaS maritime products:

ShipIntel

  • ShipIntel Essentials: An AIS and AI-driven SaaS product that assists in data-driven decisions by tracking, monitoring, and analyzing vessel movements and port traffic. It is designed for any type of company involved in maritime business.
  • ShipIntel Pre-Fix: A SaaS product offering maritime AI-driven decision support systems for shipbrokers, shipowners, and cargo operators.

ShipIntel was officially launched in August 2024 and is experiencing rapid growth.

ShipAtlas

A freemium SaaS application for individuals interested in tracking vessels.

Launched in August 2020 as an MVP product on the web, ShipAtlas now has over 450,000 users worldwide and is also available in AppStore and Google Play store.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking sales persons with 3-5 years of experience from SaaS product sales for the maritime industry (office software). The person must have a relevant network, be capable of closingB2B office software sales and build and maintain a customer portfolio of new sales, upsales and recurring sales.

Wanted qualifications:

  • Good at building relationships and great with people.
  • Solid sales experience from selling from SaaS software with documented sales results.
  • Knowledge of or work experience from the maritime industry or experience from doing SaaS sales to companies involved in maritime business.
  • Overall good IT skills and an understanding of software and tech.
  • Experience in negotiations with decision-makers in the corporate market.
  • Education in sales or marketing is desirable, but relevant sales experience compensates.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Experience with working in HubSpot.

  • Build a customer portfolio and close sales.
