Bulk Carrier Mayruree Naree Hit by Projectile in Strait of Hormuz
The bulk carrier Mayruree Naree caught fire after being struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting a partial crew evacuation.

The container ship ONE Majesty was damaged by a projectile while sailing in the Arabian Gulf northwest of Ra’s al Khaymah, UAE, according to a UKMTO incident advisory.
The strike occurred about 25 nautical miles from the coast, leaving a 10-centimeter hole in the hull. All crew members are reported safe and accounted for.
The Japanese-flagged vessel, built in 2010, has a deadweight of 79,443 tonnes and measures 302 meters in length. The ship is owned by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and operated as part of the Ocean Network Express (ONE) fleet.
Following the incident, the vessel was reported to be heading to a safe anchorage while authorities investigate.
