Ukrainian drones struck the Port of Tuapse on the Russian Black Sea coast, killing at least one person and injuring another, and damaging transport infrastructure. The attack hit the same oil terminal targeted in a strike days earlier, hours after fire from that previous attack had been extinguished.
It was the second drone strike on the port within three days. The extent of damage to the terminal from the latest strike is under assessment.
The attacks on Tuapse form part of a broader Ukrainian campaign targeting Russian oil export infrastructure on the Black Sea and Baltic coasts, intensified in recent weeks as elevated energy prices driven by the Iran war have boosted Russian petroleum revenues.
No further details on the identity of the victim or the nature of the transport infrastructure damage have been publicly confirmed.
