The Singapore-flagged product tanker Navig8 Messi and the Liberian-flagged Aframax tanker Tarif, both ADNOC-affiliated, were struck by Iranian UAVs while transiting the Strait of Hormuz outbound at 1552 UTC on August 13. Both vessels sustained minor damage and continued under their own power. All crew were reported safe and no environmental impact was detected. Both tankers had their AIS transponders switched off at the time of the strikes, according to Vanguard Tech.
The strikes mark the 15th and 16th ADNOC vessel attacks since the conflict began, bringing total injuries across all ADNOC attacks to 20 with one fatality.
