The Danish-registered tanker Oralynn ran aground near Langøya in Bamble, Norway, after reportedly losing engine power.
The 103-meter vessel, carrying liquid fertilizer, was sailing from Heroya to Seville when the grounding occurred early Thursday morning.
Authorities said around 15 crew members were onboard and all are reported safe. Initial assessments indicate the vessel is stable and not leaking.
Officials are now evaluating whether the tanker can be safely refloated, potentially during high tide, while checking for possible hull damage.
Local authorities and the Norwegian Coastal Administration are monitoring the situation, though weather conditions in the area are currently calm.
