Bahri VLCC Amzan Struck by Houthi Ballistic Missile 63NM West of Yanbu, Red Sea

The Saudi-flagged VLCC Amzan, owned by Bahri, was struck by a Houthi anti-ship ballistic missile on August 24 while sailing from Ain Sukhna, Egypt, to Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, approximately 63 nautical miles west of Yanbu. A fire broke out on the main deck. All crew were reported safe and no environmental impact was detected. The Houthis claimed responsibility.

Amzan is the largest vessel by deadweight struck by the Houthis in their Saudi shipping campaign to date.
