Customer Success Manager

We are growing very quickly and is therefore looking for a customer success manager who has experience from software product sales (Freemium SaaS).

About us

Maritime Optima AS was registered in April 2018 and is funded by the founders, employees, and some private investors.

We aim to develop and distribute innovative smart maritime software products built on industry knowledge and big data, empowering single users or professional teams to work from anywhere.

We are a team of 16 people with different backgrounds, skills, and knowledge, and we have solid domain knowledge and a reliable maritime network. We are skilled, curious, and honest. We are located in modern maritime-inspired offices at Aker Brygge in Oslo but are moving into our new offices (cross the street) in Vika Atrium in January 2023.

We are offering two products;

ShipAtlas - For everyone interested in vessel data, tracking and trades, port activities, congestions, sea routes, marine weather, ice conditions, piracy, zones and maps.

The business model for ShipAtlas is freemium. ShipAtlas has more than 50 000 registered users and is continuously developing our product based on user feedback. 

ShipIntel - A modularized software for maritime professionals focusing on team efficiency. Customize software for your needs by selecting the modules you want. ShipIntel was launched in October 2022 and is growing quickly.

We need to build and scale our commercial activities and grow and scale our marketing, support, and sales activities. We are looking for a customer success and support manager who has experience working as a customer success manager from software products (Freemium SaaS) and preferably understands the shipping industry.

You will have the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • You will be in charge of the daily user support and sale for ShipAtlas, and user support for ShipIntel.
  • You will be responsible for the onboarding of new ShipAtlas and ShipIntel users.
  • You will ensure the users are active and happy and follow up on renewals to encourage up-sells in ShipAtlas. 
  • You will be responsible for the training materials and tutorials for ShipAtlas and ShipIntel.
  • You will be an essential voice of the users and give input to the ShipAtlas product development.
  • You will facilitate and publish content for blog posts, white papers, etc.

You have to be prepared to do a lot of daily repetitive work, testing, and tuning, while keeping a strategic mindset and help developing our commercial strategy for growth together with the digital marketing manager and the CEO.

Who are you:

  • Experience in software product support and customer success.
  • Completed a BSc degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or similar.
  • Proficiency in the use of various CRM software and SoMe.
  • Know how to create product videos and use analytics platforms.
  • Learn how to operate Webflow, Intercom, Hubspot, SurveyMonkey, and Figma.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian.
  • Knowledge about the shipping industry.
  • Have a strategic mindset, and you are persuasive and motivational.
